Making Food into a Business

This workshop is for aspiring street food traders, food & coffee entrepreneurs, and people wanting to make food their business.

It doesn’t matter what stage of your start-up you’re at -whether you’re starting with an idea or are already in the thick of it – every participant will leave with tangible next steps for your ‘food business’.

Besides the expert facilitators, everyone makes the day, and as participants, you will be invited to contribute your own experiences and ideas. Bring some of your products or ideas if you want to get some input or feedback from the group.

For ethical food businesses, we offer the opportunity to apply for pitching your ideas at the Local Entrepreneurs Forum in July to get investment and support.

Facilitators:

Owen Postgate & Johannes Moeller

Owen is co-founder of the Rye Bakery in Frome – a bakery, cafe and community play space. He has over 10 years experience in the food industry, having set up various food based businesses.

Johannes is the Managing Director of Edventure Frome – A School for Community Enterprise. He will draw on his experience of supporting young adults to set up social enterprises, with examples of what worked and what didn’t.

Ticket Price & Requirements:

This event is free to anyone living in Somerset and £75 per person per training day for non-residents of Somerset.

Booking is essential.

We will ask you to complete some paperwork and feedback forms.
