Repair businesses are the backbone of a sustainable economy, and provide an opportunity to create new enterprises, green jobs and an impactful, practical way to address the climate crisis on a local level. Setting up a repair business has also many challenges and buying new is still often cheaper than doing a good repair job.
This workshop is for individuals and groups who want to create or grow repair businesses. For example, this could include enterprises or initiatives that repair tech, household goods, clothing, furniture and more. It doesn’t matter what stage you’re at – whether you’re starting with an idea or are already in the thick of it – every participant will leave with tangible next steps for their repair business, and meet other people who are engaged in this locally. The workshop combines the expertise from people who have made it work, people who have experience of incubating start-ups, and from yourself. Everyone makes the day, and as participants, you will be invited to contribute your own experiences and ideas. Bring your ideas or challenges if you want to get some input or feedback from the group.
