Martha is on tour throughout late spring/early summer, with her new album ‘NOMAD’. Due for UK release 12 May online and in shops.
“Sharp, original songs that dissect the modern world.
She captures both the harshness and enchantment of life” – Guardian
With a voice like spider-webbed hollows and lyrics that inspire and captivate, Martha has earned a nomination from the BBC for best newcomer and released six albums to date on her own label Squiggly Records building up a large audience worldwide. She also featured on the Zero 7 album ‘Yeah Ghost’.
Her performances take you from stripped down folk arrangements to textural electronica, sparkling melodies and her beautiful crystal clear vocals…often stepping off stage to sing un-accompanied amongst the audience. NOMAD leads us down a deep, uplifting and cathartic path. With musical arrangements that range from the pin head intimacy of acoustic guitar and voice to the expansive electric, slide guitar, rolling beats, deep bass, banjo and string arrangements that send tidal waves up your spine.
Little Red:
Originally from Cardiff and now based in Bath, Little Red’s music is a hook-laden soundscape, for fans of Rae Morris, Kate Bush & The Japanese House. She created emotional charged Electro Pop, a skilled guitarist, singer and songwriter performing her own material since the age of fourteen. ‘Hell’ is her new debut single, co-written with singer-songwriter Ed Tullet (Novo Amor). Exploring themes of love, heartbreak, anxiety and bravery. ‘Hell’ is an anthem for love-worn relationships.
Sara Vian Music:
Support also comes from local Frome musician Sara Vian Music, she lovingly sings enchantingly twisted tales of life, love, survival and insights.
