Daily meditation sessions at Holy Trinity.
Monday 10th: St Paul – Saul was a Jewish firebrand who persecuted the first Christians. So what caused him to change his attitude, change his name and end up changing history? Join us as we look at the life and legacy of St Paul, whose writings nearly 2,000 years later still provide some of the most important teaching for Christians. Led by Rev’d Ian Snares.
Tuesday 11th: St Ignatius – This meditation is based on the method used by St Ignatius – founder of the Jesuits. Thoughtful readings of Bible stories will allow you to imagine what it might have been like to be there, from the perspective of the different characters present. Led by Felicity Hill.
Wednesday 12th: Mother Teresa – Why not treat yourself and join us for an hour of inspirational and restorative calm. Inspired by quotes from Mother Teresa and through words, music and silence this hour’s guided mediation will focus on how small acts of love and kindness can hugely enhance both our own lives and those around us. Everyone welcome. Led by Alex Howell.
Thursday 14th: St Julian – Julian of Norwich was a lady ahead of her time. In her 30th year she became dangerously ill and received visions of Christ. Transcribed as ‘Revelations of Divine Love.’ She was a mystic, theologian and spiritual counsellor. Her book is a tender meditation on God’s eternal and all-embracing love to us through the Passion of Christ. Led by Ann Phillips.
Friday 15th: St Columba – St Columba, a sixth century Celtic saint, is closely associated with the Isle of Iona in Western Scotland. This meditation will focus on his life and legacy, including the present-day Iona Community, and explore his relevance for us today. Led by Rev’d Margaret Crawshaw.
