An evocative series of paintings inspired by the relationship between spaces, meeting points and the interplay of colour, shape and form.
Falzoni’s pieces are at once precise and playful, intuitive and expansive and prone to evolve into spontaneous, diverse and unexpected forms. Often starting with a drawn grid filled with colour following a basic algorithm, the puzzle of finding and fittng shapes begins. His work involves sanding, washing, rubbing, mixing, replacing and reworking layer on layer over a period of time – sometimes extending into months – until a conclusion is reached and the images holds it’s space.
