We are running two FREE CREATIVE COMMUNITY WORKSHOPS to learn some simple techniques to construct a MINI FOLD UP BOOK from basic materials and tools that most people are likely to have at home.
Scissors
Glue stick
A4 paper
Card
Patterned paper
Ruler
Pencil
This is a really fun activity and great skill to learn. Once you have done the workshop you can then go on to make your own books of all shapes and sizes to use as sketchbooks or notebooks. It is a perfect activity to carry on and do with children of all ages or other adults after you’ve learnt how to do it. If you are homeschooling and looking for your next creative learning activity suitable for all ages of children- look no further!
We will also have individual packs of FREE materials for this workshop on offer to collect from The Old Stores studio to then take part online.
Once you sign up, in order to qualify for this FREE WORKSHOP, you will have some paperwork to fill in and send back to us by email. You will need to gather your tools at home and/or collect your materials pack from the studio. You will then be sent a link to a zoom meet up to get together and go through the process and techniques and help you complete your mini fold up books.
PLEASE NOTE: This online workshop is for people aged 18+ who live in Somerset and is funded through @sslcourses . Please note completing your paperwork is vital to this workshop being funded. Our online offer is for anyone who has not already done an SS&L funded workshop with us this academic year as for this learning programme our funding only covers one learner once per year.
It’s so vital to keep creative and connected. We hope you can take part and look forward to seeing you soon!
