NYE – Swym VS Bassweight Collective w/ Jacky Murda B2B Subcriminal

2022 is upon us! I know… we cannot believe it either however like most things it must come to an end.

In true Frome 23 Bath Street fashion we’re giving it an almighty send off with a Friday night collaboration never seen before across two rooms!!!

The grime, garage, dancefloor chart toppers from Shake what Ya Mama are going head to head with the local drum and bass collective that is Bassweight! We have 2 rooms dedicated to music from 20:00 until 04:00 extending the usual 02:30 closing time so we can cram in all of our established artists under one roof for one night.

Joining us on the occasion we have Chopstick Duplates original and newest members! Jacky Murda and Subcriminal doing not one but a two hour set taking us into the new year!

These lads need no introduction but in case you aren’t aware Jacky has been tearing up the UK jungle scene for almost 2 decades. He has released huge solo tunes such as ‘More Fire’ and ‘Junglist Outlaw’ on his 2011 album ’21 Murda Shots’ as well as big titles with Chopstick Duplate such as ‘Notorious’ with Congo Natty and ‘Worldwide Traveller’.

Whilst Subcriminal hasn’t been part of Chopstick Duplate since its inception he has been making waves in Bristol and beyond for sometime and we have certainly been paying attention. With big releases on Audio Addict, Liondub and Run Tingz such as ‘Pressure Dem’.

This segway’s nicely over to young budding Run Tingz artist Kommz! Last seen playing in Frome for Bassweight Collectives last sell out night at 23 he was a fan favourite!

Next up we have Dub Damage head honcho Friskie who as run his successful label for numerous years. Jump up heavy he’s certainly a crowd pleaser! catch his labels latest release below.
