This is a practical course. You will be fully supported by the tutor who will demonstrate all of the new techniques. On this course you may use/complete the following:
Materials: pencils, watercolour pencils, soft or oil pastels, charcoal, watercolour paint, gouache, acrylic paint or oil paint.
Techniques: shading with pencils, two and three point perspective, ellipses, creating textures, laying washes, glazing, impasto, painting with a knife, colour mixing and theory, blending, composition.
Themes: still life to include flowers, bottles, jugs, cups etc, materials and clothing, shoes, natural forms such a s shells, leaves, landscape to include water, reflections, trees, shrubs, grass, skies and clouds, animals and birds, figures in context, hands, portraits, seascapes, buildings, boats.
Throughout the course you will also be introduced to relevant artists to place your work in a context, as inspiration and to increase your art history knowledge.
This is a 10 week course starting on Wednesday 02nd March 2016 for 10 weeks with Amanda Bee. Concession fee is £55 (if in receipt of qualifying benefits).
