Pattern Cutting – Beginners

Learn the basic principles of pattern cutting. Working from small scale blocks to manipulate darts to create a new series of styles which can then be made into small scale fabric garments. This course is suitable for complete beginners in pattern cutting and those with some experience. Basic sewing skills would be an advantage but not essential. Topics covered include: sizing, cutting, seams, folding for material allowance, dart manipulation and styling.
This is a one day workshop on Saturday 06th February 2016 from 10.00am – 3.30pm with Joy Merron at the Somerset Skills & Learning centre on the Frome College site. Full fee: £27.00, Concession fee: £14.00 (if in receipt of qualifying benefit).
