A fabulous Festival finale.
In the newly formed Funka-Nova Quartet, Frome’s own Pee Wee Ellis and the acclaimed Berlin based vocalist/guitarist Peter Fessler, present an acoustic fusion of music they are both passionate about: funk and bossa nova, ably supported by Guido May on drums and Joel Loscher on bass, (both from Munich).
In this concert you will hear music you know and love in a way you have never heard it before. Pee Wee Ellis is world-renowned for his work as an arranger, composer and saxophonist with James Brown and Van Morrison, and latterly with Ginger Baker amongst others. The Pee Wee Ellis Assembly is a great favourite at Ronnie Scott’s, and jazz clubs and concert venues throughout the world. Recommended: 12+
