Anjalika will demonstrate a photographic process that produces blueprints using coated paper and sunlight. This cameraless approach is called cyanotype, a process going back to the dawn of photography, perhaps the most famous being Anna Atkins’s book Photographs of British Algae: Cyanotype Impressions, published in 1843.
Participants are invited to bring along some of their favourite botanical materials (such as leaves and flowers) or flat objects which will fit on an A5 piece of paper. All other materials will be provided. Each participant will take home at least two finished blueprints of their own making.
Limited to 15 spaces.
