Pop-Up Comedy at the Merlin

Pop-Up Comedy joins forces with the Merlin Theatre to celebrate its re-opening weekend with a fantastic night of comedy hosted by award-winning comedian Jarred Christmas and world-renowned beatboxer Hobbit, with performances from Irish funnyman Jarlath Regan and rising comedy star Abi Clarke.

Local award-winning comedian Jarred Christmas and world-champion beatboxer and loopstation artist Hobbit have formed a unique comedy-beatbox partnership, hosting shows together, and performing a sell-out run at the most recent Edinburgh Festival. Through lockdown they hosted The Big Comedy Mess Around Gameshow on Zoom to great acclaim.

Jarlath Regan is an Irish comedian, writer, illustrator creator and host of the award-winning Irishman Abroad podcast, which is listened to by more than a million people world-wide. Hugely in-demand as a stand-up comedian Jarlath has performed in clubs and festivals throughout the world.
