Richard Norris

Richard Norris has a long history creating electronic music,particularly as one half of Beyond the Wizards Sleeves with Erol Alkhan and The Grid with Dave Ball from Soft Cell.

His current work is a series of warm, electronic deep listening albums on the UK based label GROUP MIND RECORDS Available through their bandcamp page.

Throughout his career he has collaborated with Joe Strummer (the Clash) on The Mescaleros debut album and ‘Rock, Art and the X Ray style Co writing and producing tracks Sandpaper Blues and Yalla, Yalla.

Richard teamed up with the late Genesis Beyer P-Orridge of Psychic TV to release two fake album compilations of Acid House songs in 1988, the 2 albums ‘ Jack the Tab’ & ‘Tekno Acid Beats.

Lately apart from the Group Mind releases, Richard has remixed releases for SOFT CELL & The PET SHOP BOYS.
And is also currently working with Dave Ball from Soft Cell (as soon as Dave is out of hospital) and Andy Bell from Erasure on tracks for the forthcoming New GRID album.
