A carillon is defined as a set of bells on which tunes can be played either by physical or mechanical means.
Artmusic’s composer Helen Ottaway and sound designer Alastair Goolden have created a virtual carillon for Frome.
Tell the time of day as Frome’s new carillon plays chimes on the hour and specially composed bell tunes at certain times. Keep listening as the tunes change through the week.
Take part in the bell tune writing workshop on Sunday 9th July to have your own tune played on the carillon.
