Are you looking for something extraordinary to do in 2019? In July, you could be taking one big jump from a plane, to make one giant leap for patients at the Royal United Hospitals Bath (RUH)!
The Forever Friends Appeal, the fundraising charity for the hospital, is looking for as many daredevils as possible to join them for a day of skydiving on Sunday 7th July, at Netheravon Airfield in Wiltshire.
Patients and their families face tough challenges every single day and staff at the RUH are always there to guide, support and care for them, day in and day out. The funds raised from a skydive helps the charity invest in extra-special equipment and facilities that make a real difference to everyone at the hospital, that goes above and beyond what standard NHS funding can afford. In 2019, the Appeal will also be celebrating their 20th year of fundraising and it with thanks to skydivers, the public and local community that over £20 million has been raised for the hospital since 1999. So if you’re thankful for the RUH and want to help the charity continue their work with the experience of a lifetime… then the Skydive Day is for you!
Registration costs £50 and jumpers are asked to raise £350 in sponsorship – this can be for the any ward/campaign/special appeal that is close to your heart. In return all participants will receive a jump t-shirt, fundraising guidance and lots of support from the drop zone.
