Sense of Place

A guided walk around Frome explaining the history and folklore behind some of the local place names. We will also be taking in the development of the English language, the changing processes of how places are named and the history of the town along the way.

If you’ve ever wondered why Bath Street is not on the Bath side of town, or what is cheap about Cheap Street, this is the walk for you.

This walk takes approximately 75 minutes.
