1 of a series of w/shops supporting enterprises that help build a resilient, more sustainable, local economy.
This workshop is for street food traders, food & coffee entrepreneurs, and people wanting to make sustainability of food their business. It is a collaboration between Edventure Frome, Rye Bakery, the Frome Food Network, Frome Town Council with funding from Somerset County Council and Somerset Skills and Learning.
The cost of living crisis is putting an enormous amount of pressure on food businesses. Many struggle to survive as the cost of ingredients, utilities and their staff is going up whilst the buying power of people is going down. At the same time, building a resilient, sustainable local food system is as important as ever.
It doesn’t matter what stage of your enterprise you’re at -whether you’re starting with an idea or are already in the thick of it – every participant will leave with tangible next steps for your ‘food business’ and how to make your business as sustainable as possible. At this year’s workshop we will also have a focus on food marketing & food photography.
Besides the talks and discussions from our contributors, everyone makes the day, and as participants, you will be invited to contribute your own experiences and ideas.
Bring some of your products or ideas if you want to get some input or feedback from the group.
