Join us this May Day to ‘Sing in the Spring’

Welcome the spring with a mass singing event to symbolise new beginnings in Saxonvale. Singing at dawn on May Day is a tradition that dates back over 500 years, an experience that is definitely worth getting out of bed for!

Everyone is welcome – come on your own, or as a group.

This beautiful celebration will be followed by other traditional May activities including Morris dancing, garland making, refreshments, music, and other May merriment from 7am – 11am at the Silk Mill.

Anyone can attend this event even if they do not want to sing (or wake up that early!).

We have all sat by and watched the Saxonvale site remain empty and neglected for many years. We believe this site could be such an incredible asset for our town if developed with the right scheme.

This event will bring our community together in harmony to show how much we care about our town, our Saxonvale and the hope for a new story to begin.
