Somerset Arts Week – Gare Hill and other venues

Russell Coates makes hand-painted underglaze blue porcelain dishes, bowls,
vases, boxes, jugs and mugs enamelled with birds, animals and sea-creatures.

Hero Takahashi’s ceramic work focuses on intricate forms and textures, especially
architectural “Soul Houses”,”Towers of Myth” and allegorical Boats. This
distinctive narrative approach can be seen in other themes; message boxes and
the Tree of Life.

Our studio workshop will be open and we will offer “have a go” throwing and underglaze blue tile painting.
