SOPRIOLA – WIND COMES FROM THE SEA

Sopriola – Rachel Godsill (soprano) and Rachel Stott (viola d’amore) – present a programme of contemporary and traditional songs spanning three continents and four millenia. New settings of ancient Persian and Babylonian texts contrast with a 17th century evocation of the Virgin Mary soothing the infant Jesus, and songs of the Yorkshire and Somerset countryside.
