This FREE course is being offered as part of a Department for Education National Research Project to find out if leisure learning improves people’s well-being. The aim of this course is for anyone who wants to learn some new skills, meet some like minded people and improve their general well-being.
Whether you describe yourself as feeling generally quite well, or are experiencing stress, anxiety or mild to moderate depression at the moment, you may find that attending this course will have a positive effect on how well you feel. Come to this garden workshop, gain the theory and practical skills needed to grow plants from seeds and cuttings.
To be eligible:
•You must be over 19.
•Not currently be enrolled on a SS&L community learning course.
•Be prepared to complete some short mood and wellbeing surveys, (tick box type) before you enrol, at the beginning, middle and end of the course to see what differences these courses make and give written consent for us to use this information you give us.
