Sue Harding is beginning to get noticed. This West Country-based singer-songwriter and guitar player creates delicate yet powerful songs, full of poetry and invention that never fail to enchant. With roots in traditional folk, Sue has developed her own style of contemporary folk with Americana influences.
Her latest album Darkling”, which takes its name from the Darkling Thrush poem, has a gentle romanticism; celebrating a renewed connection to the English landscape and late Victorian poetry whilst exploring themes of loss, redemption, hope, joy and survival with a unique voice, range and heartfelt delivery which combine to create a hauntingly beautiful sound with a retro sensibility, referencing the 1960s and 70s folk revival.
