Swing Dance with Harlem Rhythm Cats!

Swing Time Frome’s monthly swing dance evening featuring the swing/boogie woogie/blues band the ‘Harlem Rhythm Cats’.

Beginner’s Taster Class to set you off on your way to the dance floor at 7.30pm, followed by live band and social dancing from 8.30pm. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned pro come along and meet the swing folk of Frome and beyond. The focus is on having fun, so don your largest smile and head our way!

£5 for the Lindy Hop beginners class and band.
No need to book, just drop in.

The Beginners ‘Taster’ Class, 7.30pm-8.15pm
This is a drop in class for beginners and those wanting to recap what they’ve learnt. You’ll be guided through some of the fundaments of Lindy Hop, so you’ll be able shimmy your way onto the dance floor after. No previous dance experience necessary, and all levels are welcome.

The Social Dancing, 8.30-11pm
If you haven’t tried swing dancing then come to the Beginners Taster Class for some moves to get you started, or to recap what you’ve learnt.

The Venue
We’ll be dancing in the recently renovated 23 Bath Street, formerly The Wheatsheaves, which has a great open space for dancing on the ground floor. The bar will be serving as usual.

What to Wear
Flat shoes that have a smooth sole are ideal, as they will help you to move around more easily. Or non-spiky heels! The rest is up to you.
