Just 10 minutes’ walk up from the centre of Frome, you will find Holy Trinity Church. It was built in 1836-38 in an area “chiefly occupied by the homes of the operatives” (weavers), yet home to a world-class collection of stained-glass windows by Edward Burne-Jones and the William Morris workshops.
Rob Martin, who was Vicar from 1995-2008, will give a short talk on the windows, their history and the truths they seek to convey.
Refreshments served (Cream tea 3.30pm, Bar 7pm) and the church will remain open for you to spend as much time as you like looking at the windows or just enjoying the atmosphere.
Part of Frome Festival 2022.
