The Frome Food Assembly

The Frome Food Assembly is a community initiative bringing you the best, seasonal produce direct from local farmers and growers.  You order produce online and collect it on a Wednesday evening, 5.30 to 7.30, from the Memorial Theatre Foyer, where you can meet and talk with the people who made it.  There is no commitment to buy, and no minimum order quantities.

The average distance from your local food assembly is just a few miles, compared with thousands of miles with supermarket bought food.  The average farmer in the UK receives between 9-15% of the retail price when supplying through conventional supply chains compared with over 80% through Food Assemblies.  We remove waste from the supply system – farmers and foodmakers know exactly how much they will deliver in advance.  Bread, milk, butter, cheese, meat, veg, home cooked meals, juices, puds and lots more.
