After a Break from live music The Members are going back out on the road and are inviting offers from Europe, Australia New Zealand with selected showcases in the the USA Canada and South America. 2024 will be their last year of touring.
In 2023 the Members Celebrate 45 years of their iconic anthem “the Sound of the Suburbs.” On 30th january 1979 the Song burst into a chart full of soppy love songs and inane dance tunes. It spent 16 weeks on the charts selling over 250,000 copies out performing records by contemporaries like The Clash Generation X the Damned and Buzzcocks.
Since reforming in 2006 The Band have performed all over the world from New Zealand to Kiev, from Los angeles to Zagreb, and that song is still speaking to young and old music fans alike. In 2022 the Band scored a No1 hit in the UK Heritage chart with the Title track from their album “Bedsitland” proving they still have got it.
Throughout their career The Members have had hits on three different continents, working with some of the greatest British producers they have recorded songs that have become anthems. The current incarnation lead by JC Carroll of Band has toured all over the world and continues to record and release records. They have recorded for Beggars Banquet, Stiff, Virgin, Island, Genetic, Arista, Cleopatra, Anglocentric and Cadiz Music. They have been signed by Dave Robinson, (Stiff) Richard Branson, (Virgin) Clive Davis, (Arista) Martin Rushent and Richard England.
