THE SPRIG OF THYME- A RECITAL OF BOTANICAL SONGS & PIANO MUSIC

Richard Pinnock (tenor) and Gareth Burgess (piano) return to the Festival with an eclectic recital of songs about flowers, plants and trees, including popular favourites by Vaughan Williams and Robert Schumann, neglected treasures by Madeleine Dring and Clara Schumann, and folksong settings by Britten and Grainger. Also piano music by Bartók, Couperin and others. Real coffee, tea and home-made scones will be available.
