It is 6th April 1895 and Oscar Wilde waits alone at the Cadogan Hotel for the knock on the door that will bring his arrest warrant on charges of Gross Indecency. Imagine if at that moment he was free to talk openly about his relationships and those people who will be most affected if he is found guilty.
In this one-man play, starring Luke Stuart – written by Calum Grant and directed by Geoff Hunt – Wilde will talk openly about his affair with a young boy of 16 whose life will never be the same again; the ruination he has brought down on the head of his wife Constance and their two boys; and of course the one true love of his life, the destructive but beautiful Lord Alfred Douglas.
Tic Tac Toe follows the success of The Complete Works of William Shakespeare with this thought provoking new piece which explores Oscar Wilde’s startling fall from grace. Recommended age 12 plus.
