As a parent, facing tantrums, conflicts, and stress is inevitable. Discover the solution to enhance well-being and foster positive family relationships with compassion-based parenting. Attend our workshop to explore research-based tools for managing strong emotions, creating moments of calm with your child, regulating both your and your child’s nervous system during distress, and setting compassionate boundaries. Witness positive changes from six Danish childcare institutions, where compassion is employed as a pedagogical method since 2021. Results include improved cooperation among children, increased tranquillity during snack-time and shared activities, and enhanced conflict resolution skills.
Globally renowned educator Mikkel B. Kristiansen, director and founder of the Kind Heart Project, combines Nordic early childhood education principles with advanced research in compassion, social-emotional learning, and trauma-informed education.
Due to the kindness of our volunteers, the Kindness Festival is able to offer a crèche for up to 10 children aged 0-5 years during this workshop. The crèche will take place in a ground floor room at Frome Town Hall and is only for parents or carers who are attending the workshop and will remain on the premises throughout. Contact gemmathegoodheart@gmail.com to book in for this.
Booking essential – and please add a donation to help with the costs of organising this event. Any surplus will go towards the work of The Good Heart – providing pay-it-forward meals, a warm space and promoting kindness – and will enable The Good Heart to organise another Kindness Festival in 2025. Thank you!
