Trio Paradis Cafe Concert: Romantic Trios

Trio Paradis café concerts are informal feel-good music events with a pop-up café where you can meet friends and make new ones over tea/coffee and home-made cakes.

The trio (Jacquelyn Bevan – piano, Lisa Betteridge- violin & Linda Stocks – cello) play a concert at Christ Church every first Thursday of the month at 1.15pm. They are often joined by Louise Ashcroft who reads a selection of poetry to fit the theme of the concert.

September’s programme features piano trio movements by two pairs of husband & wife composers: Clara and Robert Schumann and Felix and Fanny Mendelssohn, along with music by Schubert and other 19th Century composers.

The concert lasts c45mins and entrance is free with pay-what-you-feel donation invited.  Refreshments are available in the pop-up café half an hour before the concert. No need to book, just turn up. All ages welcome. Bring a cushion for the pew!
