Trio Paradis: Classical & Romantic Trios (His & Hers)

The first in a new series of short lunchtime concerts to be performed by Trio Paradis at Christchurch, at 1.45pm on the first Thursday of each month. Entrance to the concerts is by donation, with a retiring collection. Sadly there will be no refreshments at this concert, so please do feel free to bring your own lunch/drinks.

September’s concert is a collection of contrasting piano trio movements by male and female composers from the Classical and Romantic eras. Music includes Andantes from trios by both Felix and Fanny Mendelssohn, ‘Soir’ by Mel Bonis, a rarely heard piece by local composer, Kate Loder (Thompson), a Scherzo by Cecile Chaminade, and trio movements by Haydn, Mozart and Beethoven.
