Trio Paradis: Travel Notes…

Trio Paradis play a monthly café concert on the first Thursday of each month (Feb-Dec) at 1.15pm at Christ Church: informal feel-good music events with a pop-up café where you can meet friends and make new ones over tea/coffee and home-made cakes, or simply relax and enjoy beautiful music in a range of styles.

August’s programme is inspired by means of travel, from Debussy’s En bateau to Queen’s Bicycle Race, a ramble to a rocket, a train to a jet plane, a funicular railway, a hot air balloon and a helicopter ride. Music by Bizet, Dubois, Villa-Lobos, Alec Rowley and Richard Rodney Bennett… Children are welcome, and please bring a bicycle bell if you have one.

Concerts last c45mins and entrance is free with pay-what-you-feel donation invited. Refreshments – tea, coffee & home-made cakes – available in the café half an hour before the concert. No need to book, just turn up – maybe bring a cushion for the pew!
