In 1913, poet Edward Thomas cycled from London to Somerset to ‘meet the spring’. Passing through Rudge, he stopped by the Full Moon and Wesley Chapel as he made his way on to Trowbridge.
Thomas wrote an account of his journey, In Pursuit of Spring, published the following year.
To celebrate Thomas’s life and work, we are staging a walk in his footsteps, stopping at sites Thomas visited to share readings from his works and poetry.
The walk is followed by refreshments at the Full Moon.
The walk is approx 1.5 miles.
