A unique photographic exhibition in two spaces – the Whittox Gallery and Gallery at the Station, in collaboration with the Gaia Foundation charity.
We Feed The World was commissioned by the UK based charity The Gaia Foundation, and celebrates the work, skills and knowledge of the small-scale farmers and fisherpeople who provide 70% of our food whilst caring for soils, wildlife and our shared climate.
This will be the first opportunity to view the incredible collection of photos and discover their stories since being exhibited at The Bargehouse Gallery, London in 2018, and includes photos by 47 globally renowned photographers including Nick Ballon, Graciella Iturbide, Rankin, Rena Effendi, Tina Hillier, Spencer Murphy, Martin Parr and Omar Victor Diop.
“We’re thrilled that We Feed the World is coming to the south west. The issues that the exhibition casts light on are some of the most critical of this time – how do we feed the world and nurture the planet? Regenerative farming practices hold the key and a small-farm future is possible” ~ Rowan Phillimore, Deputy Director of The Gaia Foundation and Frome resident.
The two venues will be sharing the message, ethos and community behind We Feed the World, but exhibiting different photographers in two very different settings.
The Whittox Gallery is open 9am-4pm Tuesday – Saturday; Gallery at the Station is open 10am-4pm Tuesday-Saturday.
We are in the process of redeveloping the Discover Frome website, and invite you to share your views on the current site with us.
