Weaving on a Frame Loom Workshop

All household garments, packing and storage, were woven by hand until the industrial revolution. Until 1965, Frome was known for the manufacture of broadcloth.

Join Jade Ogden to understand the process and have a go at the craft of weaving.

You will be able to weave a coaster on a frame loom using reclaimed yarn. Introduction – no previous experience required.

Cost of ticket includes materials.

Adults only.

Access: 1st floor lift available. Toilet on 1st floor.

Maximum number of participants 6. A ‘Woven In Time’ event within Frome Local History Festival 12-20 May 2023.
