Wells Cathedral Choristers will perform a lunchtime concert. This is an opportunity to enjoy a unique and certainly spectacular event.
The Choristers at Wells Cathedral consist of eighteen boys and eighteen girls in two separate choirs taking turns to sing with the Vicars’ Choral and occasionally performing on their own.
They participate in international tours, commercial recordings, radio and television broadcasts, major festivals and now Marston! The Choir has an extensive repertoire from sixteenth century to present day music, and has premiered works by some of today’s finest composers including Bob Chilcott, Jonathan Dove, Gabriel Jackson, John Rutter and many more.
Directed by Alex Hamilton in aid of the Wells Cathedral Chorister Trust. All proceeds will go towards the Trust which helps young singers from all backgrounds to train in a world class musical environment. The Trust aims to build a fund large enough to provide permanent scholarships and bursaries for gifted youngsters.
A limited bar will be open from 12pm. Come and enjoy a pre-concert glass in our wonderful rural location.
