Events Calendar Round-up: October 2022
As we head into autumn and the nights start drawing in, there are plenty of warm and inviting venues offering fantastic events for you enjoy.

Suggs: What A King Cnut – A Life In The Realm Of Madness – 8th
Due to huge popular demand, after his first tour-de-force, smash hit, sell-out tours with ‘My Life Story’, Madness front-man Suggs is treading the boards again.
With help from Deano his trusty pianist, he tells his story in words and music with the help of some Madness classics and a couple more what he wrote all on himself.
Multicultural Frome – 9th
Local people from around the globe will be coming together at the Cheese & Grain to share and celebrate their cultures.
Hear Scottish bagpipes, watch Japanese Kendo, listen to Finnish music, watch a Spanish theatre puppet show, Ukrainian and Polish dance performances. Plus make and do arts and crafts, games and quizzes, food and drink and more!
TEDxFrome 2022 – I Am Because We Are – 9th
The theme for this independently organized TEDxFrome 2022 is ‘I am because we are’. There will be ten brilliant local speakers sharing their ‘idea worth spreading’ to an audience of only 100.
Topics from climate to clutter, and bees to being, to food and feelings. Each idea will excite you and give you something unique. You may even change how way you feel or think about a concept, or at least have a new perspective to consider.
Dick & Dom in Da Bungalow Live – 13th
20 years after the hit BBC show ‘Da Bungalow’ first burst on to our screens, quadruple Bafta award winners Dick & Dom are bringing their own special kind of mayhem live to Frome!
Fun for all ages and packed with chaos and familiar favourites including Two-Word Tango, Musical Splatues, The Grunty Song, Fairly Hairy Fizzogs, Pants Dance, What a Sweaty Flap and of course Bogies, the live show promises to bring the spirit of Da Bungalow back to life.
Beth Nielsen Chapman – 19th
Beth Nielsen Chapman has undoubtedly made her mark in music. Her body of work includes seven #1 hits and spans a diverse roster of legendary artists who have covered her songs.
Don’t miss an evening of great songs complete with fascinating storytelling when she comes to Frome to play the Cheese & Grain.
Moments Of Pleasure: The Music Of Kate Bush – 22nd
Live at The Tree House – a great opportunity to see and hear the music of Kate Bush performed accurately and affectionately with plenty of love and emotion, capturing the tone and emotion of Kate’s songs perfectly.
This five-piece tribute band featuring the passionate and stunningly authentic vocals of Lisa-Marie Walters will feature many of the Kate Bush’s singles together with popular tracks from albums.
Frome Concerts Group Teatime series – 23rd & 30th
Frome Concerts Group Teatime series returns this month with classical music concerts on Sunday afternoons at Rook Lane Chapel.
Three one hour concerts feature professional artists at the start of their career and feature a wonderful variety of ensembles and repertoire.
The series kicks off with Ensemble Unmeasured on the 23rd followed by Darach Ensemble on the 30th.
It Shoulda Been You – 27th-29th
In a world where nothing is what it seems, religions collide, Machiavellian plots are revealed, promises broken, secrets exposed and hope springs from the most unlikely of places.
Kairos Theatre Company invites you to the Steinberg wedding in this charming, funny, and original musical. “It Shoulda Been You” promises and evening you will never forget where anything that can go wrong does and where love can pop up in mysterious places.
Lightning Seeds + Badly Drawn Boy – 29th
Iconic 90s band Lightning Seeds will be performing tracks from their intoxicating new 10-track collection released this month.
They’ll be joined by Damon Gough, better known as Mercury Prize-winning, English indie singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Badly Drawn Boy.
Not So Scary Halloween Party – 30th
A Not So Scary Halloween Party in the Assembly Room behind the Memorial Theatre. Lots of fun and games, party dancing with PDJ Disco and cold buffet.
Free entry for well behaved adults!
