Frome celebrates music in style
On 16 April Frome had a number of events to celebrate Record Store Day. This day acknowledges and celebrates independent record/music shops and artists across the UK and further afield. On a national scale BBC Music announced its exciting new partnership with Record Store Day UK, with this year being the ninth annual celebration.
Raves from the Graves, on Cheap Street had band Rivers Of England & solo artist Sara Vian perform outside their shop, reporting that they had several hundred visitors to the store throughout the day.
Tea & Biscuits (Just Parsons), The White City Shakers and local musician Molly Ross performed outside the record store Covers Vinyl on Catherine Hill. As well as these local acts performing both shops sold a selection of exclusive products and limited edition releases that were only available to independent high street record shops.
