As we head towards the end of January, with the promise of longer and warmer days to come it’s a great time to plan holidays and weekends away for the coming year.

The Open Road Experience is a new business run by Cathy Thompson and Graham Hey offering e-bike and e-tandem hire.  They provide everything from bike delivery and collection, fitting and demonstration, to customised route creation and on-call mechanical support to help make your experience as relaxed and enjoyable as possible. They also offer experienced cycle guides and even a pilot for the tandem!

Cathy and Graham bring over a decade of experience to their new venture, having worked in the small group cycling holiday industry, organising and guiding road cyclists through the most stunning cycling routes in Europe.

They carefully plan each route, starting from a location of your choice, to include interesting places to visit, beautiful scenery and opportunities for you to refuel at local pubs, restaurants or cafes.

Their aim is to give customers the opportunity to experience the joy and confidence that e-cycling can bring whilst exploring this wonderful part of the British countryside.
