March – a month for practising kindness

The wonderful Kindness Festival, hosted by The Good Heart, returns this year from 15th – 22nd March.

Celebrated annually, the Kindness Festival is a unique celebration of the transformative power of kindness. Frome will come alive to celebrate the contribution that kindness makes to our relationships, to our mental and physical health and to our marvellous community. The festival will offer something for everyone; bringing local people together in fun, magical and uplifting ways.

Below is a rundown of this year’s programme – click on each event to find out more! Keep an eye on this page for more events as they are announced.

Forgiveness and Kindness: An Exploration

For the past twenty years, Marina Cantacuzino, founder of The Forgiveness Project charity, has been collecting, curating, and sharing real stories of forgiveness and compassion to explore what it takes to create a more humane world. These stories—from both victims and perpetrators—highlight the transformative power of forgiveness in healing broken hearts and mending relationships, yet also reveal the complexities and controversies surrounding it.

In this lecture, Marina will shift her focus to examine the role of kindness in the path to forgiveness and why it is a skill we might all benefit from cultivating.
