Mendip Visitor Conference

We’ve been at the Cheese and Grain for the Mendip Visitor conference today.

Industry professionals have been talking, listening and engaging in lively debate. So what are the best ways to promote Mendip as a whole and individual businesses, small and large?  Everyone agreed one one thing; communication and reach is important. That’s why we’re online and on paper – We want to tell as many people as possible about all the fabulous things Frome has to offer. Councillor Jean Boulton spoke to the audience about the work we are doing with Discover Frome.

Today we brought our ‘pop up’ information point to the conference. It’s on vacation from Black Swan Arts to make way for an exhibition. We can’t wait to reinstall it on the 17th of October. Run by volunteers with good local knowledge, its a great way to keep in touch with all the events and community projects going on in Frome, as well as somewhere to pick up essential information such as bus timetables. It has recently been funded to continue until march 2020.
