Frome Independent Market: September edition
September brings an abundance of seasonal produce to The Frome Independent. You’ll find an amazing range of local fruits, salads and vegetables at the stripy Somerset Farmers Market stalls by the Boyle Cross. Stock up on award winning cheeses, charcuterie, sausage rolls, bread, foraged jellies and chutneys for lazy late summer suppers.
This month The Frome Independent welcomes The Newt in Somerset. Head to the Village Green by the library where they’ll be offering free children’s harvest themed craft activities, samples of their delicious local produce and an opportunity to find out more about their working estate and support for local growers and producers.
Browse the Homes and Gardens section by the river for fresh and dried flowers, plants for inside and out plus beautiful garden ornaments. Rummage through the lively Flea for vintage finds, find the perfect piece of jewellery, ceramics, original artwork or home fragrance from the amazing range of local designer makers throughout the town centre.
Don’t miss live music from the busking stage in the Market Place. It’s always a lively lineup but this month features local legends Al O’Kane and Sloe Jam.
The market’s charity for September is Frome Carnival who do an amazing job providing stewards for The Frome Independent every month and of course organise the unmissable annual Frome Carnival. Please look out for their volunteer collectors and give generously if you can.
Sunday 3rd September 10am-3pm.
