What’s on this Easter Holiday 2023
The Easter holidays are nearly upon us, and there is lots to do in and around Frome to keep the whole family entertained.
We’ve listed things you can do together as a family, but there are more activities just for kids. Check out our half term and holidays listings for the full list.
Easter Egg Hunt at Stourhead – until 16th
Pin the tail on the bunny, help buzzy bee find their way back to the hive and swoop like a swallow in lively Easter-themed activities.
Make your way around the garden and be rewarded with either a dairy or a vegan and Free From chocolate egg – both are made from Rainforest Alliance Certified cocoa.
Easter at The Newt – until 16th
Head over to The Newt this Easter to celebrate the season and share the enjoyment of their gardens and farms springing into life.
They’ll have a host of family-friendly activities running over the Easter weekend highlighting the skills of their gardeners, farmers and bakers – including a Childrens’ Garden Tour, storytelling and printmaking workshops and lamb feeding demonstrations where you’ll meet the farmer and learn more about this year’s flock. Plus an Easter trail running throughout the Easter holidays.
Palette & Pasture Easter Trail – 1st-10th
Pop on your Bunny Ears, get your trail sheet and hop off around the farm to see how many eggs the hens have laid!
Complete your activity sheet, work out the magic number and then visit the Easter Bunny at his burrow to collect your Easter treat.
Alice in Wonderland Easter Eggstravaganza – 1st – 16th
Wander into Wonderland to join Alice, The Queen of Hearts and the White Rabbit for an immersive experience full of twists and turns.
Challenge your friends and family to a game of mini golf in the weird and wonderful Tulgey Wood, celebrate an un-birthday to remember with The Mad Hatter himself, and get creative making origami roses for the Queen of Hearts’ Love Maze. Keep an eye out for Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee as you explore and look out for nine giant Easter eggs with clues for a riddle for you to solve.
Fairfield Animal Centre Easter Egg Hunt – 1st – 16th
Help Fairfield Animal Centre’s resident Easter Bunny, and find six Easter eggs hidden around the Animal Park.
Each egg has a letter on it, and if you can unscramble the secret word, you’ll be rewarded with an Easter treat.
Easter Egg Hunt – 1st – 15th
Frome Birth Talk are organising a fundraiser Easter Egg in Frome town centre.
Find the clues in local business windows and complete your sheet in order to claim your prize!
Clue sheets can be purchased from the Discover Frome Information Point at the Round Tower.
Kids Rave – 1st
Enjoy an afternoon of fun at the South parade Club, with neon and glitter face painting, a bouncy castle, lucky dip and more as well as meet and greets with guest characters!
Art in the Park – 5th
Enjoy Art in the Park free family fun day and picnic with workshops suitable for 3 – 8 year olds.
Workshops include music making, creative art, kindness rocks and face painting.
Trio Paradis family concert: The Sea – 6th
Trio Paradis’ free April family concert features music inspired by the sea: from sailing boats to sea creatures, mariners to hornpipes, and the sea itself in all its changeable moods.
Along with arrangements of traditional folk melodies there will be music by Debussy, Bridge, Quilter, Ireland and Gershwin.
Family Hangout Easter Party – 9th
‘Family hangout’ is throwing a free Easter party at 23 Bath Street and you’re all invited!
Featuring Daemon Or Doppelganger clay workshops, Easter Loon Hunt, craft workshops, pin the tail on the bunny and lots more.
Children’s Easter Party – 9th
Frome Memorial Theatre is hosting their annual Children’s Easter Party at the Assembly Rooms.
There will be party dances with PDJ Disco, each child will go home with an Easter Egg, plus a cold buffet.
Easter Party – 14th
South Parade Club’s Easter Party will be a fun-packed afternoon with a disco, food and drink, a raffle and activities.
There will also be an Easter bonnet and basket competition, so don’t forget to bring your creations with you to be in with a chance of winning a prize.
Easter fancy dress optional!
The Animal Guys: Animal Unleashed – 15th
The Cheese & Grain stage will be bursting into life right before your eyes with this funny, entertaining and educational 1 hour live show that will delight the whole family.
A show packed with animal effects, music and laughter, designed to both entertain and educate using no live animals, stunning puppetry and special effects to bring incredible life-like and size animals and dinosaurs to the stage right before your eyes.
