Your guide to Frome’s Christmas late night shopping 2019
Avoid the queues and stress of busy weekend shopping and support Frome’s wonderful array of independents this Christmas on our late night shopping Thursdays.
Frome has a wealth of exciting stores to explore and many of them will be keeping their doors open until 7pm on the 5th, 12th and 19th December for our Christmas lates.
With December fast approaching, we thought we’d give you a sneak preview to some of the shops that will be staying open and which cafes you can refuel at!
There’ll also be entertainment, mulled wine and Father Christmas’ grotto at Boyle Cross to get you in the festive mood.

Fine Fettle – fair-trade, ethical and sustainable clothing, jewellery and accessories. The store boasts original, unusual and beautiful products all in delightful surroundings.
Palmer Street Bottle – Christmas trio gift packs will be on sale. A choice of beer, cider or wine accompanied by cheese and chutney.
Sassy & Boo – contemporary fashion brands including Luella, Saint Tropez, Culture, One Season, Great Plains, Milano, Cream, Sandwich, Jayley, Robell, Ana Montana, and One Hundred Stars. Also various footwear brands and accessories with an often eclectic and diverse choice of one-off pieces.
Beadz Bazaar – A small shop with a HUGE passion for all things beady! Beads from all over the world, excellent quality findings and tools, handmade jewellery and always happy to help with any jewellery making queries you might have.
Settlers Stores – high quality, hand finished tweed clothing for women and men. With British craft and African print they create unique and unexpected blend of classic styles and contemporary details. Settlers Stores nurture traditional skills, embrace cultural fusion and celebrate diversity by adapting designs from all over the world.
POP! – creatively led little gifts with little prices! Jewellery, homeware, stationery, candles, fashion accessories, art, cards, t-shirts, bath bombs and more.
Choc et al – who doesn’t like receiving chocolates for Christmas? One of Frome’s newest independents delivering ethically produced chocolate from locally sourced manufacturers. Choc et al will also be offering plenty of samples if you need help deciding!
Hoi P’loy – independent florist specialising in unusual houseplants, fabulous floral work and exciting interior items.
Eight Stony Street – as well their usual fare, Eight Stony Street will be offering a festive cocktail and mulled wine on the Christmas lates.
Hunting Raven – books are on most people’s shopping lists for Christmas. You’re bound to find what you’re looking for in this great book shop, and if not, they can often order for next day delivery.
Raves from the Grave – gifts for music-lovers aplenty. Offering a huge range of music across all formats and genres, including new release vinyl, represses, second hand vinyl, current and chart cds plus rare and deleted items. They also offer a worldwide search and ordering service, so if you can’t find what you’re looking for in the shop they’ll do their best to source it from another corner of the planet.

The WHY Gallery – selling a wide range of local art and craft, perfect for gifts. From handmade jewellery and textiles, to ceramics and greetings cards. All profits support We Hear You.
Figgins – quirky gift shop stocking original, beautiful items that don’t break the bank. A perfect place to look for those hard-to-buy-for friends and family.
Eden Beauty – beauty gifts and treatments for him and her.
Christina Oswin Jewellery – with something to suit everybody, from statement pieces to delicate flowers, many of Christina’s designs are available in Fairtrade metals. She only uses Fairtrade or recycled gold and silver in her pieces. All of the gemstones are also fair-mined or ethically sourced.

Bramble & Wild – as well as their fabulous floral arrangements and bouquets, Bramble & Wild is also full of carefully chosen and curated gifts.
Truly Sopel – women’s lingerie and slippers. Don’t panic, if you don’t know what size to buy, they have gift vouchers available.
Frome Yarn Collective – offering a range of wool and yarn to make that perfect handmade gift.
Tibetan Memories at the Good Heart – A Pay it Forward pop up cafe offering delicious vegan food. Serving Somerset spiced apple juice, vegan sorbets and ice creams based around the monthly vegan menu featuring raw salads, seasonal veg and yummy curries.
The Three Swans – open as usual and offering mulled wine and mulled cider to quench your post-shopping thirst.
